EC-Lab Technical Notes 41: Climate Chamber control with EXTAPP

Latest updated: August 16, 2021

Introduction

EXTAPP, a control protocol available in BT‐Lab® and EC‐Lab® software, is designed to execute an external program. The main use of this protocol is the control of a climate chamber during an electrochemical experiment (battery cycling, corrosion experiment etc) under specific conditions for temperature and humidity. EXTAPP can be linked with other techniques like GCPL, Modulo Bat or Corrosimetry technique. A temperature probe is needed to record the temperature during experiment. This note explains how to setup a battery cycling test at different temperature values using EXTAPP protocol.
