EC-Lab Technical Notes 03 Computer TCP/IP installation and configuration

Latest updated: August 16, 2021

Introduction

Our instruments use the TCP/IP (Transfer Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) to exchange data with the PC. This protocol uses IP addresses to identify hosts on a network, so you will need two IP numbers, one for the BioLogic instrument (VMP2, BiStat, VMP3, VSP, SP-150, SP-50, HCP-803, HCP-1005, SP-200, SP-300) and one for the PC. For a direct connection between the BioLogic instrument and the PC, you can use the default settings or ask your system administrator for two valid IP numbers for your Intranet (and the subnet mask and the gateway numbers if necessary).
