RK-Spectro Technical Note 35: DNPA hydrolysis using QFM-400

Latest updated: February 16, 2021

This technical note provides a step-by-step procedure to perform a quenched-flow experiment using the microvolume instrument QFM-400. The test reaction used is the reduction of 2,4-dinitrophenyl acetate DNPA by NaOH, the reaction being quenched by HCl. A complete description of this alkaline hydrolysis can be found in Gutfreund, H. (1969), methods in Enzymology, 16, 229-249.
