MT-Lab Technical Notes-01: Cell cables and sample holder compensation

Latest updated: November 3, 2022

Introduction

The impedance measurement of a sample or Device Under Test (DUT) using the MTZ-35 can be affected by stray and residual impedances due to cell cables and sample holders if no compensation routine is carried out. Residual impedances can be compensated using the compensation procedure available in MTLab® software. This note explains the principle of cables and sample holder compensation and details how to perform open & short circuit compensation using MT-Lab® software.
