Why choose BioLogic Potentiostat/Galvanostat?
EIS expertise
EIS Quality Indicators: BioLogic is the only supplier to use quantitative quality indicators, resulting in information that is more precise, more trustworthy. Sensitivity factors: a tool to help optimizing the equivalent circuit. Impedance fitting tool ZFit gives a rank for each element of the equivalent circuit to weight its contribution at each frequency. GEIS-AA technique: enables to avoid non-linear behavior for time-variant systems (AA meaning amplitude adaptation).
Modular ranges
Modular design ensures that potentiostats grow with your research needs (upgradable in-situ). Boosters: Parallelize boosters, benefits from autoranging for Premium potentiostats. Current range can be extended up to 800 A with Boosters with the Essential range instruments.
ULC option: add a cable with a high sensitivity electrometer in-line and go down pA.
High-speed CC-CV shift
Unique design that enables an ultra-fast shift from Galvanostat mode to potentiostat mode to perform the best CC-CV technique, avoiding any transient phenomena on the battery. Fastest one on the market.
High-precision calculation
Data of interest are directly process in the firmware, allowing a better accuracy as the frequency calculation is related to time base instead of sampling rate as data are sent to the computer. Time base of BioLogic instrument is 200 µs for all techniques.
Potential control
Choose Ewe-Ece potential control to control potential between positive and negative electrodes. All different potentials are measured and can be checked (Ewe, Ece, Ewe-Ece).
Electrodes connection mode
Multi-electrode measurements with a unique dedicated connection mode, the so-called CE to GND mode). For permeation measurements (two cells sharing the same working electrode), the WE to GND (available for the Premium range instruments). Possibility to connect CE to GND.
Ohmic drop compensation
When ohmic drop is an issue, IR compensation corrects the response obtained from the system, including in galvanic mode. Several techniques are available to measure and correct the over-potential, it can be compensated either by the software or the hardware.
5 wires connection
BioLogic potentiostats have at least 4 cables: 2 power cables and 2 (or 3) senses to ensure a good control and measurement with a 4-point measurements.
Calibration
The combination of built-in calibration board for Premium potentiostats and integrated calibration software in EC-Lab® allows for routine verification of system performance, helping identify any drift in measurement accuracy over time. Cable effects are compensated by factory calibration.
